An initiative of Girona Provincial Council, which demonstrates its extensive experience in the General Archive field, and places a modern and efficient instrument at the disposal of local councils and the general public, enabling it to handle, publish and check essential and fundamental information on local corporations, in a database format, searching by entering words or free text, as with an Internet browser (with the help of Boolean, proximity, range operators, etc.) via this website.
The system implies creating an electronic security file with the minutes of the plenary sessions and board meetings held by the local governments of all the municipalities associated with the project in the province of Girona, since the files are sent from the local councils to the Provincial Council with an electronic signature and can be considered authentic copies of the originals. This ensures that there will be a copy of the key information of municipalities in the event of the originals being lost or destroyed.
